TSBA: Dallas Chapter Info

Welcome to the Dallas chapter of the TSBA! Ours is currently the largest chapter in the TSBA, with an inception date of October 1997. Since the main focus of each TSBA chapter is to promote safe, fun sportbike riding, we join the entire association in recommending and riding the PACE.

Rides: The Dallas Chapter's weekly rides normally happen every Sunday morning, weather and other events permitting. Since the departure locations, times, and ride routes vary from month to month, be sure to check the Dallas forum on the TSBA BBS for the most up-to-date info on upcoming rides. Please also note the Ride Requirements below when joining us for a ride.

Monthly Meetings: We have our meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at Spring Creek BBQ in Addison. We have dinner and socializing starting at 7:00PM, and the business meeting gets underway at 8:00PM.

The meetings are open to all current and prospective TSBA members. Please feel free to come visit us!

How to join: We warmly invite you to be a part of our great club. If you're considering becoming a member, please join us on one of our rides or come visit us at one of our meetings. Let us introduce you to the fun, fellowship, and friendly faces we have to offer.

If you feel that the TSBA is right for you, please print out our membership form and bring it with you to one of our meetings, where you can hand it to one of our officers. Our dues are set at a reasonable $24/yr., and are pro-rated $2/mo for new members. Dues are payable in advance by Dec. 31 for the upcoming year.

Please note that membership is a privilege, not a right, and the Dallas TSBA reserves the right to decline and/or rescind membership to anyone.

Ride Requirements: In keeping with our theme of safe and responsible riding, we must insist that a minimum of proper protective gear be employed on any club ride or event. Although club rides are open to guest riders, anyone showing up to ride without the following will be asked to rejoin us at a future time when these requirements are met:

Full-face helmet
Solid boots that cover the ankles
Protective motorcycle riding gloves (no fingerless gloves)
Heavy, durable, abrasion-resistant, full-sleeved jacket. Leather recommended.
Full-length pants, preferably motorcycle-specific riding pants or heavy denim.
Well-maintained motorcycle in good working order.

If embarking upon your first ride with the club, you must inform the ride leader, who will usually assign a "buddy" to pair up with until you are settled in.
